Rainbow Teams

As a ministry…

We don’t affirm. We don’t attack.

We simply care and share.

Our president and ministry co-founder, Keith Brown, served for many years in Christian education working with middle and high school age children.  Over the years he saw several of his students come out of the closet after graduation and then depart from God and the local church.  This broke his heart because he knew the Lord still loved and cared for these young people and he knew they still needed Jesus.  He stayed connected with many of these students primarily through social media.  Keith has spent many hours loving and sharing with those who are part of the LGBTQ community and has counselled with many families that are adjusting with the revelation of their family members “coming out.”

Keith knew that one group this ministry needed to love and minister to was the LGBTQ community and their families.  Our goals are mainly three: 1) simply share the loving grace of Christ and his offer of salvation to any who do not yet believe, 2) comfort and encourage any families in distress as a result of this life-changing revelation, and 3) help connect those in the LGBTQ with churches who will love and care for them.

We do not confront, degrade, or try to “change” anyone.  That is the work and decision of the Holy Spirit of God.

Our job, as we believe it to be, is to simply share the love and grace of Jesus Christ and help in any way we can.

We share.  We teach.  We give.  We pray.  We love.

We don’t confront.  We don’t antagonize.  We don’t judge.

Team members of this ministry will have varying beliefs on this important issue and we are okay with that as long as those beliefs still allow them to love, care, and share the grace found in Jesus.

If you are a LGBTQ person or family member who is struggling…we invite you to contact us and see if we can help.

If you are a person who has a heart for this community of folks, we invite you to join us in the campaign to share the true grace of Christ and show genuine love.

As a ministry, we do not affirm or reject.

We only love, share, and help.

We believe that really is what Jesus would do.
